It has become difficult to find good help in our business and many that we do find are not trained in the manner we prefer. We have started training people to work for us in our business which is one of the oldest in the state, started in 1949. We are not going to train you for something that cannot be done while you are here. We feel we can train you to be a good hand with horses and mules, packing, setting camps, learning our area, and the game in it. This would be a great asset to you and to us. All other training will take place in the field, such as caping, judging animals, care of game, taking care of clients, and safety comes first.
It is not possible to learn all of this in a 20-30 day course, no matter who trains you. There is always something new to learn every day. Our training lasts 26 days for a fee of $3,500.00. If you are good at this you will earn back most or all of what you paid in. We are not here to blow smoke at you, we are looking for hard working people, who enjoy the outdoors and working with animals. Everything we do is hands on except the First-Aid course which is mandatory. All food and lodging is furnished. |
